چکیده
This study explored the performance of TiO2 nanoparticles in combination with aged waste reactors to treat landfill leachate. The optimum conditions for synthesis were determined by a series characterizations and removal rates methyl orange. effect ultraviolet irradiation time, amount catalyst, pH on efficiency chemical oxygen demand (COD) color leachate was determine optimal process conditions, which 500 min, 4 g/L 8.88, respectively. COD chroma under three obtained single factor control method: 89% 70%; 95.56% 85% 87.5%, Under overall average ammonium nitrogen (NH4+–N) an reactor 98.8% 32.5%, respectively, nitrate (NO3?–N) nitrite (NO2–N) concentrations maintained at 7–9 0.01–0.017 mg/L, before after photocatalytic reaction characterized emission scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry. In addition, have excellent recyclability, showing potential photocatalytic/biological combined treatment simulation photocatalysis-landfilling could be baseline implementation technology pilot scale.

Leachate from Municipal Waste Landfill and Its Natural Degradation—A Case Study of Zubří, Zlín Region
This work deals with the natural degradation of leachate from an old reclaimed landfill by means of a biological pond. Hamra is a municipal waste landfill with a limited formation of leachate, which has already been reclaimed. Leachate in this location is disposed of using natural biogeochemical method, and it is subsequently discharged into a surface stream. The main issue dealt with here is t...
متن کاملMAP precipitation from landfill leachate and seawater bittern waste.
The leachates generated at Hong Kong landfill sites contain high strength of ammonium-nitrogen (NH4+-N) over 3,000 mg l(-1) and are generally inhibitive to most biological treatment processes. To remove the NH4+-N from the landfill leachates and also recover the nitrogen as a struvite fertilizer, a lab-scale study was performed to investigate the feasibility of NH4+-N removal and struvite cryst...
متن کاملSelective reduction of Cr(VI) in chromium, copper and arsenic (CCA) mixed waste streams using UV/TiO2 photocatalysis.
The highly toxic Cr(VI) is a critical component in the Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA) formulations extensively employed as wood preservatives. Remediation of CCA mixed waste and discarded treated wood products is a significant challenge. We demonstrate that UV/TiO2 photocatalysis effectively reduces Cr(VI) to less toxic Cr(III) in the presence of arsenate, As(V), and copper, Cu(II). The rapid ...
متن کاملAssessment of Municipal Solid Waste Landfill Leachate Treatment Efficiency by Leachate Pollution Index
Leachate pollution index (LPI) value can be used as a tool to assess the leachate pollution potential of landfill sites particularly at places where there is a high risk of leachate migration and pollution of groundwater and thus can help to take necessary decisions as deem fit. In this paper, leachate treatment efficiency was evaluated on the basis of LPI value of leachate before and after tre...
